Authorities in Woodland Park are investigating a suspicious incident that occurred Friday, Dec. 12, around 1 p.m., in the parking lot of the Walmart located on Highway 24. According to the Woodland Park Police Department, two unidentified men appeared to follow a family as they left the store, prompting concerns of potential risk despite no crime being committed.

The family reported feeling uneasy after noticing the men trailing them through the parking lot. While there was no direct contact or confrontation, the behavior was alarming enough for the family to notify law enforcement. Surveillance images of the individuals and their vehicle, which bore Florida license plates, were captured and have since been shared publicly by police.

In a statement accompanying the release of the images, Woodland Park Police emphasized the importance of community awareness and vigilance. Although the incident did not escalate into a criminal act, authorities are treating the situation seriously due to the suspicious nature of the behavior.

The police department is encouraging anyone who may recognize the men or the vehicle in question to come forward with information. Their aim is to identify the individuals involved and determine whether further investigation is warranted.

As of now, no charges have been filed, and the case remains open. The police continue to monitor the situation and are urging residents to remain alert and report any similar activity.
