**Teller County Food Drive Raises $45,000, Gathers Supplies for Families in Need**

**WOODLAND PARK, CO** — A county-wide food drive held last Friday in Woodland Park successfully raised $45,000 in monetary contributions and collected a wealth of essential supplies to support local food banks and assist families in need. The event, organized by Teller County Commissioners and local leaders, saw a strong community turnout outside the local Walmart.

The drive, which brought together first responders and community organizers, was established to gather donations of food, coats, and baby supplies for residents across the county.

The financial success of the event was bolstered by two major contributions. The Teller County Saddle Club donated $30,000, and an additional $15,000 was provided by the Community Cares Bible College, bringing the total funds raised to $45,000.

Organizers noted a significant increase in food sales of nearly 90 percent during the event, indicating that many shoppers were purchasing items specifically to contribute to the drive. Commissioner Eric Stone stated that the generous community response was anticipated, expressing confidence in the residents’ willingness to support their neighbors.

The collected food and funds are expected to help feed approximately 3,000 people in the local area. Following the success of this initiative, another food drive is already being planned to continue the support for local food banks.
