**Mesquite Man Arrested on Felony Drug Charges After I-30 Traffic Stop**

**SULPHUR SPRINGS, TX** – A Mesquite man was arrested on drug possession charges after a traffic stop on Interstate 30, according to Sulphur Springs Police.

Daman Antwan Walker, 37, faces a charge of possession of between one and four grams of a controlled substance.

The incident occurred when an officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling westbound on I-30 near the 122-mile marker. During the stop, the officer reported smelling marijuana, which led to a search of the vehicle.

Authorities state that the search yielded a small amount of cocaine, as well as marijuana and drug residue. Walker was subsequently taken into custody. No further details about the initial reason for the traffic stop have been released at this time.
