**Former Teacher Arrested in Connection with Fatal Halloween Stabbing in Colorado Springs**
**COLORADO SPRINGS, CO** — A 33-year-old former teacher has been arrested in connection with a stabbing incident that occurred on Halloween night, leaving one person dead and two others with serious injuries. The incident took place in the 1400 block of North El Paso Street, according to authorities.
The Colorado Springs Police Department responded to the scene on Friday, October 31, 2025, where they discovered three stabbing victims. One individual was pronounced dead, while the other two were transported for medical care with serious injuries. A child was also present at the scene but was reportedly unharmed.
On Saturday, November 1, authorities arrested Matthew Regnier in connection with the attack. No motive for the stabbing has been released at this time.
Regnier is currently being held without bail. He is scheduled to make his first court appearance on Monday, November 3. The investigation remains ongoing, and the names of the victims have not been released.
