**Headline: Famous Dave’s in Colorado Springs to Serve Free BBQ Meals to Military Members on Veterans Day**

**COLORADO SPRINGS, CO** – In a gesture of gratitude for their service, Famous Dave’s BBQ on North Academy Boulevard is set to honor active-duty service members and veterans with a free meal this Veterans Day. The local restaurant aims to thank the military community that forms a significant part of the city’s fabric.

The Colorado Springs Famous Dave’s, located at 5245 North Academy Boulevard, will be offering a complimentary Georgia chopped pork sandwich along with a choice of a side to all active military personnel and veterans on the upcoming holiday. This initiative is the restaurant’s way of giving back to those who serve and have served the nation.

“We are honored to be a part of a military town and have a lot of regulars who serve or have served,” said Sandy Urgliez, the General Manager of the Colorado Springs location. The restaurant’s connection to the local military population is a point of pride for the staff and management.

“We see firsthand the impact of their commitment,” Urgliez continued. “This is our way of showing our gratitude for their service.” The event was highlighted by Justin Antweil, host of the local program “Loving Living Local,” underscoring the community-focused nature of the gesture.

As the holiday season approaches, the restaurant is also preparing to serve the wider community in other ways. Owner/Operator Ashley Brown announced that Famous Dave’s is ready to help families with their holiday feasts.

“We’ve got the holidays covered,” Brown said. “Our smoked turkeys, classic sides, and homemade pies are available for preorder — so families can enjoy a feast without all the cooking and cleanup.” Those interested in booking a holiday meal can call the restaurant at (719) 434-4771.

Famous Dave’s BBQ is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Active-duty military and veterans are encouraged to visit on Veterans Day to receive their complimentary meal.
