Two military veterans in Colorado Springs were the recipients of vehicles during a special Veterans’ Day event. The presentation was part of a nationwide initiative called “Keys to Progress,” sponsored by Progressive Insurance.

The local honorees, Spencer Proctor and James Neila, were recognized for their service to the country. Proctor was given a Toyota Sienna. He communicated a sense of disbelief upon learning he had been selected to receive the vehicle.

The Colorado Springs giveaway was one of many similar events held across the United States. In total, the program provided transportation to 99 veterans nationwide this year. The initiative is designed to offer reliable transportation to former service members and their families.
