Colorado Springs and Pueblo are experiencing colder conditions after a cold front moved east across the region late Thursday. Temperatures were recorded near 30 degrees Fahrenheit, with wind chill factors making it feel closer to 20 degrees.

Following the front, a high-pressure system is expected to bring sunshine to the Front Range. However, a developing weather system is forecast to introduce increased cloud cover and winds to the area.

This incoming system is also predicted to bring snow to higher elevations. The National Weather Service in Pueblo has advised that snowfall is anticipated for Monarch and La Veta passes, which could lead to hazardous travel conditions in those mountain areas.

By Friday, temperatures are expected to rise into the upper 50s. A significant warming trend is forecast for the weekend, with highs projected to reach the upper 60s and low 70s by Veterans Day.
