**Arvada Man Arrested After Violent Assault Leaves Pikes Peak Cog Railway Worker in Critical Condition**
**MANITOU SPRINGS** — A 66-year-old Pikes Peak Cog Railway employee is in critical condition following a violent daytime assault in the railway’s parking lot on Saturday. The Manitou Springs Police have arrested Randy Blevins, 50, of Arvada, in connection with the attack.
The incident occurred at approximately 12:15 p.m. in the parking lot of the Pikes Peak Cog Railway, located at 515 Ruxton Avenue. According to authorities, the assault took place after Randy Blevins and a woman identified as Tanya Blevins were asked to leave the property.
The victim suffered serious injuries in the alleged attack. A witness at the scene, who identified himself to police as a neurosurgeon, told officers he suspected the victim had a brain bleed. Additionally, a nurse involved in the victim’s care later stated that she suspects the head trauma may have caused a stroke. The 66-year-old man remains in critical condition.
Randy Blevins was taken into custody by the Manitou Springs Police and now faces charges of second-degree assault. Tanya Blevins has been identified by authorities as a person of interest in the case.
Blevins is scheduled to make his first court appearance at 11 a.m. this Friday.
