Authorities in Woodland Park are alerting the public to a report of suspicious behavior involving two unidentified men who appeared to follow a family in a Walmart parking lot along Highway 24. The incident occurred around 1 p.m. on Friday, December 12, prompting a community safety notice from the Woodland Park Police Department.
According to police, the family noticed they were being trailed by a vehicle—described as a Mazda with Florida license plates—while at the Walmart location. Though no direct confrontation or criminal act took place, the behavior was concerning enough for the family to report it to law enforcement.
Surveillance images capturing the two men and the vehicle in question were obtained and have since been shared by police via their official Facebook page. The men remain unidentified, and authorities are seeking assistance from the public in identifying them or providing any relevant information.
While the nature of the incident did not escalate into a crime, police are treating it seriously and using the opportunity to remind residents to stay alert in public spaces.
“We encourage the community to be aware,” Woodland Park Police stated, emphasizing the importance of vigilance and reporting any unusual or suspicious activity.
At this time, the investigation remains open. The police have not indicated whether the men have been located or whether similar incidents have been reported. Residents are urged to contact the Woodland Park Police Department with any information that might assist in identifying the individuals involved.
